Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB) – is one of the most important events held under the auspices of UNESCO and the International Union for Children's Books (IBBY), with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The main organizer is BIBIANA, the International House of Art for Children. The Biennial of Illustration Bratislava, a key event in the field of fine art and illustration for children of global importance, brings together the best of the illustrators' field every odd autumn.
Each country has been given the opportunity to enter 10 illustrators to represent them at BIB 2023. The current exhibition presents all applied illustrators for the the Slovak Republic. An expert jury selected 10 illustrators to represent Slovakia at BIB 2023. In the selection process, the jury mainly evaluated innovation, creativity, artistic execution, and suitability of the illustrations for a children's audience.
The 10 illustrators who will represent the Slovak Republic at BIB 2023 will be announced at the opening of the exhibition in the Dušan Roll Gallery on June 22 at 4:00 p.m.
