The Bibiana Revue has been published since 1993 (with a short interruption in 1998). It accounts for the only periodical in Slovakia devoted to study and evaluation of the art for children and youth (literature, fine art, radio and television productions, theatre) presenting studies, essays, interviews, book reviews and polemics. 

The quarterly is directed towards students, teachers and experts working with children or preparing for this kind of profession. It plays an irreplaceable role in education of future and present teachers, especially in a postgraduate study in area of history, theory and didactics of children’s literature. It provides for a complex information source on the Slovak professional art for children and youth applicable in promotion at international events and institutions abroad. The Bibiana Revue is a direct follower of the Czechoslovak journal Zlatý máj (Golden May, revue on children’s literature and art).
