INFORMATION ABOUT PROGRAMS
FLYING LITTLE BETTY
The tale of flying Betty is not just witty, but contains also a profound message — accompanied by live music. This cute story is about Betty, who is looking for wings for all her life, but those will not grow that easily. Based on the book "The tale the flying Betty" by Daniel Pastirčák, this performance has been rehearsed by students of the Puppet-Department of the University of Performing Arts (VŠMU).
Script, production, scenography – cast: A. Kamenská, Š. P. Králik, music – M. Klas

EXHIBITIONS IN BIBIANA
THE CHAIR IN THE STARRING ROLE
We know the "chair" mainly as an object for sitting. However, when going beyond its „sitting“ capabilities, we will discover that it has a lot of more to offer. In this exhibition we get to the frontier between the real world and fantasy, i.e. of various kinds of chairs and together we will also cross/break that border. This piece of furniture suddenly becomes a kind of "play" for young and old. It becomes a source of possibilities everyone may experience on his/her very own. So — let's enter the „chair-world“ – the "chair-park", the "chairy catwalk" or the Throne – "the chair if the chairs"! This exhibition has been organized in cooperation with the Slovak Design Museum in Bratislava.
Script & dramaturgy – K. Kosánová, art & space design – L. Lizáková and A. Bindzárová, expert advisor – K. Hubová
When: 1. 3. – 31. 7. 2018
HOP! POP UP
Another exhibition of this cycle inspired by book-culture, the topic of which is the book-adaptation of the so-called pop up (pop ap), i.e. a 3D spatial or dynamic book. The kids will learn to know that adaptation once again through a fairy-tale and this time it will be the „Fish King“, retold in simple graphics on panels. The kids may not just read the tale with legend with their fingers, discover and unveil elements, but also (among other things) see within the Fish King's large object his heart and other internals in 3D. They will find space for their own creative work, as well as history information, i.e. on how this book-technique came into existence.
Theme, script and dramaturgy– I. Abrahamfyová, artistic execution –

BOO, BOOH !!! OR THE SCARRIEST SLOVAK MONSTERS
Even such a seemingly scary topic can be a way of learning about the traditional culture of one’s own nation and uncovering its moral legacy. Interactive exhibition, inspired by a book by Katarína Nádaská, Ján Michálek and illustrator Svetozár Košický: Devils, witches and other monsters, represents a return to the scary figures from Slovak fairytales and fables as a contrast to the Halloween monsters. The visitors will meet a SNAKE – the good guardian of the home, a NIGHTMARE and evil elf HOBGOBLIN, the mill is inhabited by a WATERMAN and WATER NYMPHS and in the underworld a gang of DEVILS is sitting around a fire with Devil’s goulash in the pot. Children can sit on a GRAGON, meet the LIGHT BEARERS, as well as the witch GRGALICA and under the floor they can watch the industrious and tenacious DWARFS.
