Young creators from the BAB Atelier at the International Animated Film Workshop in Cakovec (Croatia)

25. - 30. 06. 2018 – already the 25th year of the International Animated Film Workshop took place in Cakovec in Croatia. Together with 22 Croatian children, 3 children from Slovakia, to be exact young creators from the BAB Atelier at Bibiana participated in this workshop.

The School of Animated Film in Cakovec (Škola Animiranog Filma Čakovec - ŠAF) has been organizing the International Animated Film Workshop for young people for years and its guests have been professional animators who work with children by making animated films . The leaders of the workshop this year were Marie-Claire Juin from France and Tomáš Danay from Slovakia. Under their leadership, children worked in two groups using two different techniques. The first group worked with the technique of classical drawing animation and the other one used clay animation. The result of their five-day workshop were two short animated films Dreams and Evolution.

These two films were screened together with other short films made by children during the school year at the School of Animated Film at the ceremonial closing of the 25th anniversary of the International Animated Film Workshop in the Hall of the Cultural Centre.

Children from the BAB Atelier had the opportunity to get to know the atmosphere of the international workshop and gain new experience for their futher work.
